The Edge Sectors

The Edge Sectors are a stretch of isolated zones built along an area close to Uphor’s outer wall. They’re far enough apart that there’s no direct transit between them, but close enough in origin and design to be considered part of the same operational cluster. Each sector serves a specific function: scientific research, agriculture, manufacturing, or infrastructure maintenance. Sector E is known for its labs. Sector A manages vertical farming. Others exist, but they’re less defined yet. Nex also has a testing zone somewhere here.

This isn’t a residential district in any normal sense. Most people here are on fixed shifts or temporary contracts. The housing is efficient, compact, and heavily automated. SED systems are built into every unit, light levels and temperature can be adjusted to simulate a healthy rhythm, or overridden entirely during high-stakes work cycles. Most basic services, like cleaning and food prep, are usually automated and handled by background systems. A small team of on-site workers handles exceptions and technical support.

The buildings are modern and functional.Quick, sturdy builds designed for rapid adaptation. May seem a bit sterile but they are clearly not constructed to be observed.

The environment is dry, with frequent dust in the air, its recommended to wear masks outdoors and avoid lingering outside when possible. Outdoor space exists, but there are no city-level amenities or open transit loops. Social life, where it happens, tends to be sector-specific.

Known subsections include:
Sector A (Agricultural Buildings/The Barracks)
Sector E (The Labs)
